How do you think SEO will change in five\u00a0years?<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>I\u2019m pretty bullish on AI changing the game significantly\u2014I foresee us moving away from classic search results to something less cluttered, with fewer but better results.<\/p>\n<p>You know how it is with SEO projections, though. What\u2019s one SEO mistake people still\u00a0make?<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Most SEOs start way too technical. This isn\u2019t a problem if you have your own business or site. But when working with clients or in-house, you need to tie your recommendations to business problems and avoid technical speak\u2014except when talking with certain teams, like engineers.<\/p>\n<p>SEO is no longer the hacky, dark art that it used to be\u2014yet too many SEOs still behave like it is. What advice would you give to someone who wants to get into\u00a0SEO?<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Learn by doing. SEO is an applied science, meaning theory isn\u2019t worth that\u00a0much.<\/p>\n<p>Start your own side project and test hypotheses that are informed by what you read or hear from others. <em>Always<\/em> test things out yourself.
