Don\u2019t be afraid to reshare it multiple times on social<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Just because you\u2019ve shared it once on social doesn\u2019t mean everyone has seen\u00a0it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Thanks (or no thanks) to each platform\u2019s algorithm, every tweet, post, or video is ephemeral\u2014your audience has either seen it or they haven\u2019t. But even if they did, they might have forgotten about\u00a0it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So, don\u2019t be afraid to share your posts multiple times. Add internal links to your newly published pages<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Ever read an article on Wikipedia, ended up on Article Z, and wondered where all the time\u00a0went?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The power behind \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wiki_rabbit_hole\">Wiki rabbit holes<\/a>\u201d is internal links. Internal links are links from one page on the same website to another. Adding these links can help readers discover more of your content. Plus, it can help to boost your pages\u2019 performance in Google too.<\/p>\n<p>The easiest way to do this is to sign up for a free <a href=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/webmaster-tools\">Ahrefs Webmaster Tools<\/a> (AWT) account. Then, run a crawl of your site with <a href=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/site-audit\">Site Audit<\/a>. But thanks to its intense hatred of <em>anything<\/em> marketing, Reddit is a tough nut to\u00a0crack.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not impossible, though. Redditors love useful content. They just dislike spammers. So if you want to successfully \u201cpromote\u201d your content, here\u2019s what you should do:<\/p>\n<p>Take one of your blog posts, strip away all internal and external links, format it in markdown, and share it on a relevant subreddit. Get featured, and you can get plenty of exposure for your content.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While my article was picked up organically, you can actively reach out to these newsletters and introduce your content to\u00a0them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be pushy, and don\u2019t promote every article you publish. These newsletters are sent on a frequent basis, so you don\u2019t have to feature them immediately. What\u2019s preferable is to build a relationship with the creator. Interview them and feature their insights. But the most direct way to get more traffic to your content is to run\u00a0ads.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If popular ad platforms like Facebook and Instagram seem prohibitively expensive, don\u2019t forget that there are niche ad platforms like Quora and Reddit.
